The Seth Mokitimi Methodist Seminary exists to form transforming leaders for church and nation and our programmes are designed to equip our future church leaders with the necessary skills to respond to the particular challenges of life in contemporary South Africa.

One such practical programme is the Sycamore Tree Project which is an in-prison, restorative justice programme. The programme takes its name from the story of Zaccheus and his encounter with Jesus (Luke 19:1-10) and helps participants explore the effects of crime on victims, offenders and the community. Prisoners have the opportunity to understand the harm that crime causes both to victims and the community.

The Project is a wonderful opportunity to offer healing and support and even transformation to those who may have gone down the wrong path and are looking for a new way of life.

We need 20 Zulu and 10 English bibles to take into the prison as part of the programme. New bibles cost R60.
